You are invited to participate in the 2026 Leif Erikson Viking Festival. This city wide celebration welcomes handmade goods, original artwork, woodworking, locally produced items, and specialty merchandise. Priority may be given to Norway-area applicants and vendors offering handmade, locally produced or original products.Live demonstrations, hands-on activities and opportunities for visitors to learn more about your work is encouraged.Vendor setup can begin Friday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026, Setup starts at 7 a.m.All booths must be ready by 9:30 a.m. Festival vendor hours are 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Food Vendor Application Event Date: October 10, 2026 Downtown Norway, MichiganDue: September 30, 2026Calling all area restaurants, caterers, bakers, churches, organizations and food vendors! You are invited to participate in the 2026 Leif Erikson Festival. We would like to provide an opportunity to be part of the festival and help provide a variety of food options throughout Downtown Norway.Scandinavian-inspired food ideas include: Swedish meatballs, Norwegian potato flatbread, Swedish pancakes, Danish pancake balls, Scandinavian-style hot dogs, Finnish fish stew, rice pudding, cinnamon rolls, cardamom buns, smoked salmon, potato sausage, rye bread, apple cake and berry desserts. Scandinavian-inspired food is encouraged but is not required to participate.When: October 10, 2026, Vendors can start set up after 7 am. Open for service by 10am. Taste of Norway Open hours are 10am-3pm.Location: 9 th St, Next to the City Bandshell. Vendor placement will be assigned.

Award Nomination - Friend of NorwayEach year, the Leif Erikson Event Committee honors an individual who has made, or is making, a meaningful contribution to the Norway community. This can be through service, volunteering, community leadership, or showing community pride.Do you know someone whose efforts have helped make Norway a better place? Whether they have volunteered for many years or recently completed a project that positively impacts our community, we encourage you to nominate them for the Friend of Norway Award.Nominations are due by September 30th. Mail this completed form to City of Norway, PO Box 99, or Drop off at Norway City Hall, 915 Main St., Norway.

Each year, the Leif Erikson Event Committee recognizes two outstanding students to serve as the Norse King and Norse Queen. These student ambassadors represent the Norway community.If you are passionate about your community and enjoy serving others, we encourage you to apply.Applications are due by September 15, 2026.Applicants must:Be a current high school junior or senior (Fall 2026)Be in good academic standingLive within the Norway Area School DistrictStudents attending Norway High School, another school, or homeschooled are all welcome to apply.
