On Saturday, October 11, 2025 the 33rd Leif Erikson Festival returns to Norway as our town's premier fall tradition. What began in 1992 has evolved into a full day of celebrations. Leif's Run starts at 9 AM with a competitive 5K and 10K and a festive two-mile run/walk for families.
Live music echoes from the bandshell and live demonstrations will happen all day celebrating flavors from Norway and beyond and traditional craftsmanship.
We will crown Miss Norway and have our parade midday. Most activities wind down around 4 PM so guests can explore local restaurants. Then we reconvene at 7 PM at Strawberry Lake for the Viking funeral ceremony.
